Pronouns

Instead of using a noun, you can also use a pronoun. Pronouns are words that replace a noun which is known. There are different types of pronouns:

• Personal pronouns (like he, they) replace nouns. You use them so you don't have to repeat the noun in every sentence.

• Demonstrative pronouns (like this, that) are used when making a statement about something or someone.

• Indefinite pronouns (like some, any) are used to describe an indefinite amount of things or people.
