Sentence Structure – Types of Sentences

There are many different kinds of sentences. In this section, you will be introduced to the following topics:

• Statements: sentences that provide information, like "I am 10 years old."
• Questions: like yes-no questions or questions that use wh-words
• Indirect speech: these are sentences that describe what somebody else has said, like "He said he did not like rain".
• Conditional clauses: these are needed to describe if something is possible or not possible.
